Doug and I have worked hard at redeveloping our backyard. With the help of a landscape designer, who took our ideas and transformed our yard into an oasis, and the landscaper who tore up our yard, brought in loads of top soil and then laid down the paths, we no have a yard that is lots of work but brings us peace. The culmination of four years of work was Doug completing the pond, waterfall and stream. We delayed our departure to Ontario by one day so he could complete the stream. That evening we turned on the camp lantern, placed it by the stream and shared the beauty over a glass of wine.
