I have created this site so that I might share with you my challenging journey of growth in faith and life as I train to become an ordained minister in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.
The site name ‘Emerging Kristin’ has a variety of potential meanings. I was having difficulty coming up with a name. Rhett, my son and webmaster, asked me to list a variety of ‘favourites’ and one should trigger a title. He asked, “What’s your favourite type of worship?” I immediately responded, “Emerging Worship.”
Hi Kristin, family and friends. This is actually Pastor Sheilah’s husband Andy. I’m her official ‘email manager’! (Nice to have a title since I’m retired now and like to be helpful). Kristin we are thoroughly enjoying having you in our parish and we are pleased that you are enjoying the parsonage and Shed – you will NEVER have a garage that big again!

GREAT job, Kristin and Rhett on this website! Now if only rural Ontario was as blessed as you guys in Saskatchewan (is it Saskatchewanians??) who have high speed internet access …. everywhere! Perhaps in Vicar Kristin’s spare time (Ha!) she and I (Mary) can start a campaign for that here!! We realize that you being apart from your wife/mom/friend/church member friend Kristin is difficult but we want you to know how blessed, how thrilled, how pleased we are to have Vicar Kristin in our midst. And we promise to take good care of her in the next nine months!!! Looking forward to hearing more about your area and about all of you as we get to know Vicar Kristin better. (And if there are any nicknames, or juicy stories we should know about….why let us know!!)

Mary … there are no juicy stories on me. I have led a simple, quiet, almost hermit type life. My friends and family have nothing but stories of my self-sacrifice. You’ll have to believe me until I am contradicted!
