Octoberfest – An Overwhelming Success!

I’ve got lots of photos, so I’ve broken them down into sections as the numbers might seem a bit overwhelming. I have seen big feasts put on before, but you would never have convinced me that you could put 100 people – sitting down – in the basement at St. Peter’s. They did so with enough space to get between the rows. To see photos of the clean set-up, click here.

I volunteered to be part of the clean-up. It was a bit overwhelming washing the dishes for 100 people by hand, but the kitchen is always the most fun spot to be in! For photos, click here.

A quartet from the parish re-formed for this event. “For Him Four” This group of men, including a former intern/vicar who is now an ordained pastor at a nearby congregation, recorded a CD three years ago. It’s a collection of hymns and it is terrific. I’m lucky enough to have received a copy. To see some photos of Andy, John, Michael and John, click here.

There was some doubt amongst members of the congregations that I would be willing to taste-test the sauerkraut. I took this photo to prove that I did take some sauerkraut (& I ate it too … it was really sour!). Click here.
