Yes … it’s true! Kitty has a name. Rhett, my son, put forward the name and Jennifer Golem Chase highly agreed, that Kitty’s official name should be “PJ Sillypants”. Now, Mary Golem strongly disagreed as did a few others, but as I laid in bed thinking about the name the following thoughts came to me …
1. Kitty is feeling so much better & gaining weight that she is frisky and full of energy. I’ve even called her “Silly.”
2. She sleeps on me like a pair of PJ’s during the night.
3. PJ PJ What could that possibly stand for?? Then it came to me … St Peter’s and St James
She needed to be named PJ Sillypants!
PJ was spayed this week and she is recovering nicely.
Rhett is taking great pride in his ability to “name”. Check out his most recent post on his blog. Click here.
I didn’t even really follow that logic, but it sounds good to me!
It’s so wonderful to think that you thought my thoughts could have some logic to them! But what were you thinking?
I like it.
oh great … I go down in Soveran blog history as the one who disagreed with a silly cat’s name!! I’ll continue to call it Kitty just for that!!!
Now, if only we had NOT told Kristin about turning the clocks back one hour on Saturday night, she maybe would have showed up for church an hour late and we could have told everyone about that! Ha!
Have a good day! Really enjoying the site, Kristin … and Rhett. Well done!
Don’t worry, Kristin, I’m not exactly like my mother….
Ohhhh Jennifer …… Rhett wishes he was more like his father – quiet, reflective ….. but guess who he’s more like!!!
I just don’t get it …..
Why, Jennifer, would you not want to be exactly like your mommy … quiet, shy, reflective (like Doug, by the sounds of it!) Can you understand it, Kristin??
Yes! I reached into my soft, gentle, compassionate side and IMMEDIATELY understood at a depth most could barely imagine!
Mary …. I just checked my son’s website: http://www.rockstarpoet.ca where he wrote a post “I am an Inspiration” about how he names things/people/pets.
YOUR daughter just mocked me by stating it was “nice work” how they tricked me into naming Kitty, PJ Sillypants.
I feel betrayed “at a depth most could barely imagine”!! Does this sound like YOUR daughter???
I feel a vendetta coming on! Do I get exta “goodie” points on my internship rating if I manage to out wit YOUR child? (Remembering your husband, Jen’s father, is the chairperson of my internship committee) And what do think my chances of success of outwitting your daughter might be?
outwit Jen? Good luck on that one!
As for extra brownie points, there is no such thing!! Failing grades mean we get to keep you longer!!!!!!
Don’t ya just love our snow this morning?!
I feel betrayed, Kristin. With all of the other interns, I was a university student at the time of their internship, so I was an ally. One who understood the challenges of balancing school and the rest of life. A friend.
As a very recent graduate, I still feel that I can empathize strongly with the student life.
Apparently with you I am a betrayer, at nearly the same level is Judas Isacriot. I am hurt.
–
And yes, good luck outwitting me. I am a little too quick with my tongue, to a fault at times. (BUT, I can hold my own in a workplace full of people old enough to be my parents who like to tease, so it does come in handy at times!)
About the brownie points – my mom is right. Either you cut your losses and head back to The Hinterland…. err…. Saskatchewan… in the spring, or you stay in the parish forever. It really is an either-or. I’m sure the parish would be happy to keep you.
One more thing. Perhaps I am a betrayer, but at least I comment on your blog. And I bring in others to comment on your blog. That has to count for something.
See you Sunday!
Just for the record, I am my father’s daughter too. Just ask my mom which way is north and you’ll understand how….
Sorry to be a blog hog, but I just want to say that I’m being sarcastic in comment #11 (the part before the dashes). I just want to make sure that it is clear.
It is the strange thing about living alone & laughing outloud until my gut hurts … and nobody can hear me!
But PJ is sitting on my lap and is getting upset from all the shaking!
So I’ll see you on Sunday, Jenn? Great! And please … be a blog hog as much as possible. It gives me something to look forward to seeing at the end of a day.
