Thank you for visiting my website! My son Rhett set up this site for me and my first post was on September 5, 2007 – but I didn’t tell anyone about my site until September 29th. Since then until today there have been 1,819 visits to my website. There have been 3,893 pageviews which means most people click on at least two postings when they visit. I have had visitors from ten countries.
Yesterday saw the highest number of visits to my site: 53! The daily average is 16!
I hope you’ve enjoyed my photos.
Of the 1,819 visits, 257 (14%) were ‘one time only’ visits; 17% visited 2-8 times; 24% visited between 9-50 times. But amazingly there were 382 people (21%) who visited 51-100, and 358 people (20%)who visited 101-200 times. (There are 8 people who have visited 201+ and I can guess who they are! My faithful folk who post comments!)
The statistics can’t tell me who any of you are, so your annonimity is intact!
All this to say “Welcome” and I’m so glad that you check in every so often. PLEASE leave a comment. This website is so much richer for the comments that are left for you the Reader to enjoy! The site is filled mainly with humour (or the degree to which you think it is humourous!), but I do occasionally have a serious thought. I’d value any contributions you would like to make.
Thank you, Vicar Kristin, for your work on this site. Oh what fun it is to ….
(continuing my mother’s thought)
… get to know you. Without this site, I wouldn’t have had many opportunities to get to know you.
Thank you fine ladies! Blessings this day and always.
It is a really nice website Kristin!
I am reading it, even if I rarely leave comments. The picture of you captures who you are very well!
Does your stat counting program tell you where people are visiting from? If it does its amazing to see people from all over the world visit your site!
Looking forward to the Interns Retreat!
We menfolk have enjoyed this site as well. Always something to look forward to.
Erik – I love that photo, too. Robert took the photo the day of our ‘regal’ (we all had to dress up – the men were all in suits & you can see I’m in my sparkly earings) seminary croquet tournament. I’m actually holding Mick & Deonna’s 6 week old baby (Rhett cropped the photo). I remember feeling so absolutely content holding the baby (& letting Deonna play croquet.)
Robert is such a great photographer, and the moment he sent me that photo I thought, “that’s me.” It’s one of the few times I’ve felt that way – that the photo capture the emotion I was feeling.
I’m glad you know me well enough to understand, at a deeper level, that it’s me, too.
I had shared the photo last year with Doug, Rhett & Emily. When Rhett was designing the site, on his own he selected this photo. I was thrilled to realize that my son knew who I truly was as well.
The cropped photo of the rippling water with the shadow of rocks underneath is a photo Rhett took. I travelled out to Calgary before heading on internship. We went for a hike outside of Canmore AB, up the side of a mountain and that is one of the glacial ponds. It was a special day for me to be with Rhett & Leah.
So it means a lot to me re: Mother/Son about the photos Rhett chose & how he cropped and used them. He’s artistic in that way, as well as being a poet.
