How many people, other than the likes of Billy Graham (I can’t believe I have the audacity to put his name and mine in the same sentence …) can say they were preaching “live” in a church at the same time as their sermon from late April was being broadcast on the local radio station? Well, the answer is … me!
It was quite a ‘hoot’ to have the St. Peter’s folks arrive at 11:00 a.m. and say they had already heard me at 9:00 a.m. Can there ever be too much Vicar Kristin? … especially when I’m preaching? Considering I haven’t had any ‘takers’ wanting a copy of my TV interview for the the local cable company, I doubt that there will be many takers for a cassette! Maybe God is trying to keep me humble. How’s that working out so far?
The Parish sponsors six radio broadcasts over the year. Gerald edits the service to fit the time constraints. Jennifer, who comments on this blog, was taped earlier this spring when she was up and brought the message relating to the work of Leprosy Canada. See…I”m in fine company!
You better believe you’re in good company.
We’re in such an exclusive club because of one person… Good thing I look so much like him (ahem…)
Yes, you and I both have a striking family resemblance … to Jesus!
Oh, good one.
May 2-4 weekend is an Ontarism, according to my Alberta classmates.
I meant Ontarioism.
I like your spelling error – phonetically it sounds like “on-terrorism” and us ‘Westerners’ would never suggest that attitude exists “down East.”
You’ll have to check with your Edmonton classmates if I’ve got it right when I call “down East” – Ontario.
Mom do you have a digital copy of the TV show? We can put it on YouTube if you do or can get it.
They provided a copy for me, but it is copyrighted.
