I thought I should report that date night has been a big success. I saw ‘Sex and the City’ and really enjoyed the movie. It was wonderful to reconnect with the characters. I almost cried at one point!
Doug saw ‘Hellboy’ and said it was ‘fine.’ I believe the direct quote was, “There was a lot of mumbling.”
And to top off the evening we had DQ ice cream cones.
We could write a book on romance. It’s the simple things….
I was going to list all the movies we’ve been to at the theatre this summer. I think it’s a record for us. We usually rent movies, but I don’t we rented any.
1. Get Smart – wonderful!
2. Indianna Jones – good
3. X-Files – good
4. The Mummy – ick!
5. Sex & the City – good
Did you notice that all these movies were either sequels &/or based on TV shows. There was a “unique” movie in the bunch. I’m sure there’s an insight there, but I’m not sure what.
You’re right – it is the simple things. BUT there’s one point in your post that needs to be emphasized more – doing things *together. It usually helps with the romance.
I’m not sure how the * got into my post. Sorry about that.
I prefer the grammar ‘errors’ – they allow me to think you were inferring deeper meanings!!
This is too much for my young and tender ears…. ahem.
Now my work is complete! I can rest for the entire day now … as though Mary would expect any less.
And wait until I go back to seminary … only one class a day – how will I cope?
Jenn – did you mean to type “amen”?
No, I was clearing my throat. You know, a-hem.

I’m so jealous about the one class a day…. I have one class a day too, but I work full-time on top of that! What am I doing wrong??
