Bird-brain – next generation

If you recall, I wrote a post a while back about my new bird feeders in Regina. I have these because Gerald let me feed birds in Sullivan-Williamsford on my front sidewalk. Check out this link on Rhett’s website. And read the comments, too – especially Doug’s.

Would love to check out Rhett’s comments but every time I try I get the message “site could not be found.” Hmmm….
Anyways, I know already what my response will be ….. POOR DOUG!!
    Cheers!

  2. Doug says:

Just for you Mary, here are my comments:

Two comments – you are becoming more like your mother every day – it must something in your Norwegian/Welsh half that makes you fascinated with having birds in your back yard. Secondly, when you were growing up I would see from time to time glimpses of what you were going to be in 5, 10 years. Now married for 2 years, approaching 30 and getting settled in your house it’s only a question of time before your yard is littered with lawn ornaments and little windmills – I can see you shuffling amongst the decorations (with an old straw hat on) spreading birdseed and talking to your feathered friends.

  3. Mary – as you can see, your “poor Doug” comment was premature! Can’t I get any respect anywhere … because I’m quite sure that when Doug compares Rhett to me that he isn’t offering a compliment! Poor Kristin!!

  4. John Pulley says:

Kristin: They just don’t understand you!!

  5. Mary Golem says:

We do so understand her, Kristin. It’s you, John, that she has fooled!
    Poor Doug….

  6. John – really … you are my favourite. I am so misunderstood. Doug has this aura … it’s like a force-field … not electro-magnetic like mine … and his force-field fogs the mind of many (say, like Mary’s for instance) but there are a few people like you and me who have an immunity. It is in this way that the universe maintains it’s balance!

But all this goofiness aside … aren’t you thrilled to know that two Soveran’s (not Doug) have fallen in love with birds. Rhett has four photos of a blue jay. That brought back such wonderful memories. Google Rhett’s name and you’ll find his website and look at the pictures & story that way.
