and further to the last post…

I felt the need to repost this classic photo which captures the “Gentle Mary/Sensitive Kristin” theme that I’ve been promoting. Is there anything about this photo of Mary and I that screams “Look at me!”? Okay I might be wearing “this season’s” lime green and white dangly earrings (and a clerical collar), but look at Mary with all that shiny white contrasting so wonderfully with the stripes …plus all her rings and bracelets.

Does any of this look like either of us are trouble-makers or attention seekers? I think not! Although I was close to losing consciousness as she was wringing her hands a little bit too tight around my neck.

And there’s nothing to get huffy about since I edited Gerald out of the photo – not once was I thinking he was taking up precious pixel space that Mary and I needed more.

Oh, my goodness …. fail to check in for a couple of days and look what happens! I’ve got lots of reading to do before making any comments….
TTYL … enjoy your reading week. And just you so know, Kristin – but don’t feel guilty – I’ve got a ton of work to do this week … and a Staying Connected to put out! YIKES!!!!
By the way, Jen spoke today in Hanover about the work of The Leprosy Mission. She did soooooo well and her mommy (and grandma and Barry and Alice and John and …) were sooooooo proud of her! Look what comes out of Sullivan!! She is sooo much like her mom on days this like!! TTYL…enjoy your reading time

  2. Kristin says:

I have heard first-hand your daughter’s ability to speak with passion and conviction. I’m excited to hear that possibly the Hanover section of Leprosy Mission Canada is moving forward.

I know Jennifer is so much like her Mom, but I’d like to think I’ve had some positive influence on her as well … but it seems as though I only want to lead her astray on this blog!!

And Mary … I’ve been waiting with baited breath for your comments. And where is John when Doug has provided so much fodder for commentary???

  3. Jennifer Chase says:

Someone had the nerve to say yesterday that I have a mischievous look…. I can’t imagine where they got that idea from!

  4. Kristin says:

Jennifer – Are you blind???? Do you not see the photo I posted above??? The mischievous look doesn’t fall to far from the apple tree! … and that would be another reason your “poor father” got edited out of the picture.

  5. Jennifer Chase says:

Have you met me?? I look like my dad!

  6. Kristin says:

It’s not the “appearance” but rather that devilish glimmer in your’s and your mother’s eyes. That’s what I want you to see in the photo – I can see it whenever the two of you are together!

  7. Mary Golem says:

Devilish glimmer??? How pastoral of her, eh, Jen??? What on earth is she talking about???

  8. Jen Chase says:

    I don’t know… I’m innocent, remember???

(Everyone at work thought that the comment about me being mischievous was hilarious (and true!))

  9. Kristin says:

Jen – I think I would like the people you work with!

  10. Jen Chase says:

    Oh boy…..

  11. Mary Golem says:

I too want to meet the people Jen works with … but for some reason, she’s not so sure that’s a good idea!

  12. Jen Chase says:

Oh, I’m completely sure it’s not a good idea!

  13. I think it would be completely appropriate if John and Mary … and how about Barry … made a road trip down to ensure that Jennifer is dutifully respecting … and cherishing … her fine co-workers.

I think the “Trio” would make a fine impression on the co-workers … inspiring the co-workers to contiunue sharing their wisdom with Jennifer.

  14. Jennifer Chase says:

Note to self: Find a new job before Kristin manages to get back to Ontario!

  15. Jennifer – There’s no where to run … no where to hide … (How scary am I??)
