Lest my last post leave the impression that I’m either walled up in my bedroom studying endlessly or at the seminary … possibly I should provide some balance.
Every Tuesday morning about six+ students meet for breakfast at 7:00 a.m. Unless Doug is with me, I never arrive at that ridiculous hour! I show up by 7:30. On the first morning and at a resturant that I’ve never been too before, I can’t help but wonder “What will the food be like?” It’s reasonable.
Sabine thought she’d have a modest breakfast instead of the breakfast special, so she order two pancakes. When the waitress arrived we all gasped! The waitress said, “The pancakes got away on the cook this morning.” That was an understatement! I’m not sure you can tell the size by reference to cutlery, but these pancakes were served not on a plate … but on a platter. Sabine is slender and it was hillarious as we watched her pick away at the pancake. We thought she did outstanding by eating one half of one pancake!
Now those are pancakes .. whew!
Kristin…I’m having trouble with John and his over-zealousness for one certain dish at the Silli-Willi’s annual Oktoberfest. Any suggestions as to what I should do to calm him down?
Poor Liz…..
Mary: I have no idea what you are talking about. I just don’t like sauerkraut!! I believe that Kristin is not a great fan of that stuff as well. And, just to make it official, we are the Sulli-Willi’s not Silli-Willi’s. I forgive you Mary.
Kristin: Don’t let Mary put anything over on you.
Well my biggest problem is that I believe both of you!!! And Mary … you don’t like sauerkraut either – so I don’t know what your talking about.
It was great reading the newsletter. I was thinking I should post some of my photos from last year.
