It amazing how a big job can actually get done in two hours. Doug got the pond emptied (below half) and took out the pump and spray fountain. I pulled up all the annuals and cut back the rose bushes and other perennials. Now it can snow. I can hardly wait for spring!

I did the flower beds on Friday, and Mike spread mulch for me today.
I also planted all my spring bulbs – tulips, crocus, irises and daffodils.
Spring bulbs! I didn’t even think about them. I have some tulips but Doug said they didn’t have much success this past spring. If the weather holds maybe I’ll plant some next weekend.
I’d love to have some crocuses.
I had the first crocuses blooming on our street this spring… but don’t worry, I’m not competitive at all.
Crocuses are SO easy – honestly, just buy the bulbs at Canadian Tire and stick ‘em in the ground. If I can grow them, they’re easy.
Gerald was looking over my shoulder earlier reading some of your latest posts. “Why does she still have that snow ledge picture up?” I tried to answer him, but couldn’t. Sometimes there are things in life which are impossible to explain . . . the snow ledge is an obvious example!
Remembering tormenting Gerald with the potential lawsuit for the snow ledge brings back wonderful memories. Thanks for the great gift!
