Hi folks – I can’t seem to find any rhythm for posting. Lots of things have been going on, but its so hard to sit down and write. I’m going to write a few posts right now and then have them “time delayed” to show up over the next few days.

Just so you know … I like feasts!
And have we told you lately, we miss you in our parish!
Because I don’t know to Twitter, I’ll respond here re Costco. The ONLY time Costco shopping is fun is when mother and daughter go together. But you wouldn’t believe some of the comments Jen makes about stuff when we are shopping together. Sometimes, it is downright embarrassing. Sometimes, she is too much like her Daddy. After all, her mommy would never do anything silly, or bad….
I completely understand and agree with you Mary!
p.s. – If your daughter is still talking to you, she could advise you on how to Twitter.
I have a duty and a responsibility to talk to my parents…. even when my mother embarrasses me (do you want me to mention the ugly dress incident in Walkerton, Mom?).
Shopping at Costco is fun when the samples are good. But otherwise, it can be frustrating. I like to go around 4:15 ish on a weekday (I work 8 to 4), before the rush of after work people. Weekends are insane, and I try and avoid shopping on them whenever possible.
Yes … please tell us more about the ugly dress incident! Are there photos?
I went to Costco on Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. and the place was full. The highlight was being with Kristen and I really enjoyed her company. But what would you expect with a name like that? And two of us together … it was like the “dynamic duo”!
You haven’t seen the dynamic duo until you’ve seen two Golem women shop… Oh the deals we find ($60 sweatshirt for less than $15, for instance?)… and that’s not including the company!
No photos of the ugly dress incident… but it was at a bridal store and, needless to say, we didn’t buy my dress there! (We had it made, actually, for other reasons).
Mary – Sometimes I think my son and daugther believe I do silly things, but I don’t understand where they get that idea from. I’m glad we can share – and commiserate together – another commonality of quirks that our children have picked up from their fathers.
