Well, here she is … “Miss Silver Fox 2009″ … I was trying my ‘fashion show best’ to show off the sleeves of this ‘thing’ I’m wearing. I don’t even know what liturgical apparel it is – no body wears them. Check out my post from a couple of days ago to read the details of all the antics the second years put us up to!
In this photo I’m “working the hair”! I’m supposed to be Miss Silver Fox – right? If you can see the screen in the corner it has my ‘quote’ – “Right to Bare Arms” … The second years students must have been drinking when they came up with all the goofy commentary! It was wonderful!
I suppose we’ll take some ‘goofing around’ photos on convocation day, but I really like this photo. The night has been wonderful and we’ve been ‘good sports’ are handling the gags … we are just happy to be with each other. There will be 13 graduates from LTS – eight from the M.Div program and five from the STM (Master of Sacred Theology) program.
That “thing” you are wearing is a confirmation gown, is it not? We have some of those in our church – also once used for junior choir members, I believe.
Looks good on you …. well, you know what I mean. And the goofy comments the second year students came up with would be great to read … after all, such comments would be needed for the folks they were dealing with!
You make a great model … guess it must be that “princess” training and Doug’s years of spoiling you with this princess-style treatment of you, eh?!
No – it is something that I’ve seen some of the assisting ministers in the Anglican tradition wear.
I’m ignoring all your regal references, even though I am the ‘soveran.’
