Happy Easter!

I believe I am filled with the Resurrected Spirit! Christ has risen! He has risen indeed!

With the movement of the Spirit, I talked to Rhett and said, “I want my blog back!” Rhett took care of all the techincal details in the background … and here I am.

There has been so many times in the past months when I thought “I should post this” or “This would be a great picture to share.”

My graduation from the Lutheran Theological Seminary is in two weeks. It will be a special time and I wanted to be able to share my experiences, feelings and photos with you.

Can’t wait to hear from you as well!

Thanks, Kristen! It feels good to be back at the keyboard & loading up photos.

This is the best-est news ever!!!
WELCOME BACK, Kristin! You’ve been missed, dear lady!

  3. Brad Mittleholtz says:

    Christ is Risen indeed. Alleluia!

Welcome Back – looking forward to having you as a colleague in ministry

  4. Kristin says:

Hello Mary & Brad! Thanks for your kinds words. Yes – it’s an exciting time filled with parties … grad party tonight … convocation party in two weeks … ordination party in the future… Nothing like getting together with folks you love and celebrating – which is what this blog is all about!

  5. Mary Golem says:

ahhh… but wait until the others – not me, of course! – start picking on you again and you may change your mind!! Ha!

  6. John Pulley says:

We sure have waited a long time to “talk” with our last parish Intern. God’s blessings to you Kristin as you graduate from Seminary and eventually answer the call to ministry in the church that God has reserved for you.

This blog brings back some wonderful memories of your time in our parish and we are very excited that soon your hard work and dedication will result in a parish for you.

This is also an exciting time that the usual comments that fly back and forth on this website will soon be getting into high gear.

Welcome back! I’ve missed your blog. :)

(I’d write more, but my wrist is broken and it hurts to type!)

  8. Kristin says:

Thanks John & Jen! It’s wonderful to hear your ‘voices’ again.

Jen – I’m sorry to hear about your wrist. It wouldn’t really be an official first post without a smiley face (OK – sad face … but soon I hope your happy!)

  9. Mary Golem says:

Jen…are you going to tell Kristin how you broke your wrist … or are you still trying to think of a more creative story than what actually happened!? Ha!
The rest of you …. no matter how hard you try, I am not telling on my little girl!
I wonder if parishes looking for pastors check out candidates’ blogs first???

  10. Kristin says:

As Luther probably never said, “Here I stand! I can do no other!”

Now my blog isn’t usually fighting indulgences or denouncing the papacy … but it does on occasion proclaim the gospel. So I don’t feel too bad quoting Luther in my own defense.

It never hurts to know how wacky a pastoral candidate can be!

  11. Jen Chase says:

Well, we want to make sure that any church who wants you as pastor knows what they are getting in to… ;)

As for my wrist, I fell into a solid oak night table and made impact with my wrist. The table won. :(

  12. Kristin says:

Jen – If you send me a photo of your cast, I’ll write a post for you.

  13. Jen Chase says:

I just emailed you, Kristin. I’m not sure if I should be flattered or scared by your offer. :)
