John - It's hard not to be happy for the deer since you live in their territory, but I love tulips. I hope the bulbs that survive are spectacular!

You should see my tulip bed. I will be lucky if two thirds of the tulips make it. We planted about three hundred bulbs last fall and as the snow is slowly departing, the majority of seven deer who have been evident around the "Ranch" were eating the tops of the tulips. I guess that is what we get for feeding a fifty pound bag of corn during the winter.

Well there is no shortage of "pronto" orders around our house although I tend ignore almost all of them. Kristin has learned to wait until I get up then ask me a little pathetically if I could get her some coke, nachos. popcorn... whatever the mood is at the time.

Dearest Kristin ... it is DARK here - it's 10 p.m. PRONTO isnt't going to happen! Maybe tomorrow, when I get done my all-day meeting.

By the way, Doug, does Kristin ever give such "Pronto" orders to you?!??

Both Jen and John have commented to me today how GREAT it is to have you and your blog back in our lives ... I agree! Oh, what fun it is to ....

Doug has his motorcycle out and ready to do, Kristin has sore muscles from an abundance of yard work, Jennifer has daffodils and tulips blooming .... ahhhh.....spring is indeed in the air, although Mary's tulips and daffodils are only about three inches high at the moment! What a pathetic gardener I am! But....my primroses are in full bloom and absolutely gorgeous...white, yellow and purple! They do well because I do nothing to them! I should send a photo just to brag!!!
