It’s Official – I Graduated

Kristin Convocates!

I’m sorry this is such a poor photo, but the lighting was impossible for both Fran and Doug’s camera … and they were fairly close.

The convocation exercises were lovely and lasted only two hours (this is the shortest they have ever been which has more to do with speeches than with the number of students. The exercises includes the Anglican and United Church seminaries as well, which is great because we have shared classes together through all the years of our study.

Barb - Kristin - Leslie - Auntie Jean

Leslie (my brother) was kind enough to arrange to pick up Auntie Jean for the exercises. She is my dad’s sister. There we a number of surprises re: people who I knew who came to celebrate another grad, and then they were surprised to find out I was convocating. e.g. four people from Hanley (my hometown) – Hazel, Wes & Fern, Marg; my Islamic studies professor from the U of Regina – Luther College, as well several of Fran’s friends who I have gotten to know over the last years.

I also had wonderful visits with some of the LTS grad’s families. It was a wonderful day which brought about a fitting conclusion to my journey at seminary. Thanks be to God!
