Doug and Emily drove up to Saskatoon in the morning. They joined Fran and I at LTS for a luncheon with the other grads and their families. We received our travel communion sets from Faith Life Financial. Emily had a small chuckle. The ‘paten,’ or plate, for the communion wafer looks like a miniature offering plate the size that would hold one twoonie!
Then we had a lovely lunch of sandwiches, veggies, potato salad and dessert.
The students also received a gift certificate from Augsburg Fortress to purchase some books. There is always room for more books! … right Doug?? In this photo only half of the students can be seen.
