This is the third post and I’m still telling you Saturday stories. Everyone, including me, shovelled many wheel-barrow trips. It went real fast when there were two shovellers and one pusher … and one photographer. My arms did run out of steam quite quickly. We also hauled to the front as well.
In the photo above Leah is planting the perennials that I brought from Regina – two types of tiger lilies (which were originally from Grandma Soveran’s yard many years ago), lots of irises which were originally from a neighbour’s yard, and daisies.
So you thought it was only gardening work? No way – this is a working holiday! Rhett & Leah bought their house last summer and had the hardwood floors refinished. Now they needed new baseboards put on. My brother Gordon (& Dyanne) live only a few blocks away from Rhett & Leah. Gordon provided a variety of tools including a mitre saw and a power air-nailer. Doug is raving about the air-nailer – it is now a ‘musthave’ toy.
On Saturday night we rented ‘Doubt’ – that is a fascinating and provocative movie.
