Spring Cleaning – Dog-wise

Phoenix has a bath

Emily has officially completed her spring cleaning. Flame and Phoenix have had a much need bath. There is nothing more sad than a dog having a bath.

Both dogs are show dogs and they have had many baths. But still the look of depression and defeat that a dog can muster is amazing. Phoenix, shown here, loves to go in creek when he is off-leash (walking out in the field). The creek stinks. Phoenix stinks. Phoenix wants to be petted … your hand stinks.

I hope none of this discourages your visit to our home …

A photo like that makes me grateful we don’t have a dog, although many times I wish we did have one!
It doesn’t discourage me from ever visiting you ‘cuz I know you are already chilling wine ….. right?!!?

  2. Fran says:

Well the sad fact about part of your statement Mary, is that Kristin has been known to drink the wine faster than she can chill it!!

  3. Mary Golem says:

GOOD ONE, FRAN!!! Gee…I wish you had started posting sooner!!! There is probably SO MUCH you can tell us about about our dearest Kristin!!
Surely, Doug has some spot in the house where he secretly hides some wine, doesn’t he?!

  4. Kristin says:

Hey!!! Stop picking on me! Don’t you remember that I’m not only ‘dearest’ but I’m the ‘special one’???

Doug drinks red wine so I don’t touch it and it doesn’t need much chilling. But I have to agree that was a pretty quick comeback from Fran … even though she is way off base … ice cubes work real well to chill any white wine I might drink.

It is a good thing there is no winery close to Kristin. All she would have to do then would to go in and have an occassional glass of wine and she wouldn’t have to bring any bottles home.

  6. Mary Golem says:

Don’t give her any ideas, John! Now she’ll be wanting a call in wine country for sure!!!
