Thursday morning – folding bulletin covers

bulletin cover Here is the bulletin cover. It took til Thursday morning to get all the musicians confirmed. I didn’t mind having a bit of a last minute rush as I wanted to acknowledge everyone who participated in the service, and the names were listed on the inside page of the bulletin cover. I was very fortunate that Pastor Dennis offered to print the cover in colour … which featured the photo and bible verse which I used for my ordination announcement/keepsake postcard.

Please note the spoons on the table. It’s important to point out that I introduced Mary & Gerald to the spoon folding method. They should now receive the “Outstanding Bulletin Folding” award!

John…there’s one waiting here for you, as well as for Judy and Nigel and Pastor Sheilah and Andy. After ALL that work, Gerald and I figured we were entitled to some!!!
It was fun …. one could even say we got a “high” from it (the office secretary had to clean the photocopier and the cleaning liquid left a strong smell in the room)
Many hands — and spoons! – make light work!

  2. Jennifer Chase says:

So Mom, what will you do with your Outstanding Bulletin Folding award? :)

  3. Mary Golem says:

Frame it, of course! I’m waiting for it to arrive in the mail (you know…cheque’s in the mail, kind of thing)
Should be fodder for a newspaper column at some point, don’t ya think??

  4. Jennifer Chase says:

I was thinking about the column idea too, Mom… then I realized you might tell me it was a stupid idea!

  5. Mary Golem says:

Would I ever do that?! Okay…so I have in the past.
What baffles me is where are John, Kristin, Doug, Fran, Suzanne, Sharon and all those other wonderful folks we met. Why no comments?????

  6. Mary Golem says:

John….please make no comment about our visit wearing out “poor Kristin and Doug” … okay?!

  7. Kristin says:

Mary – I can’t find the photo that I know you took … of me demostrating the proper spoon technique. I know you took some close ups. How did I manage to miss downloading those pics?

  8. Mary Golem says:

Those two pix are on their way ….
    Ask and you shall receive!
