We had absolutely perfect camping weather at Cypress Hills Provincial Park, which is located in the southwest corner of SK. Rhett & Leah arrived late on Thursday night and Emily came by suppertime on Friday. Emily wasn’t able to arrange boarding for the dogs … so she brought them. Flame & Phoenix have never been camping before. Fortunately we had rented a van for holidays. We emptied the van and that’s where Emily slept with the dogs.
On Saturday afternoon, I pulled Emily’s air mattress out of the van so that I could get comfy and read a book. Flame decided he needed some snuggle time. I love this photo!
I told you in an earlier post that the enire family are pyromaniacs. I don’t have a photo of Rhett’s handiwork, but here Emily was willing to pose for me as she admires her skills.
This is my last post of our camping holidays. I’m writing this on the evening of the 25th. The movers come on Thursday morning and I won’t have internet in Swift Current until Friday. Fran is coming down on Friday night to help me unpack and get settled in. … So even though you won’t “hear” from me for a while, I’ll try to take some photos!

And Fran will no doubt share a glass or two of WHITE wine with you too, right?!?!
Happy unpacking! Happy Settling In! Happy Back to Work!
Thanks! I, and all my worldly goods, have arrived safely in Swift Current today. I invited myself over to my brother’s for supper & Barbara is making us a great meal. Hopefully tomorrow my internet & phone will get connected.
Yeah … the back to work might require a little “easing into” … you know I’ve been in “resting mode” for four months!
by the way, I LOVE the photo of you with Flame! GREAT shot!
(I was going to make some comment about you being in resting mode for four years, I mean, months, but that just would not have been nice! After all, we all know how how hard you worked at Seminary all the time and we in Ontario witnessed you working ??? on internship … well, sort of.) Special hi to Doug!
Hey Kristin and Doug …. there’s a new commercial on TV (at least tonight was the first we saw it!) about how Knorr’s Sidekicks dishes are now 25 per cent less salt. We never buy them but what is cute about the commercial is the salt shaker …. it looks just like our Saskatchewan Roughrider salt shakers that we got from you …. the little guy is white and green and when he learns about the less salt, he cries tears … of salt. It is soooo cute … best part, though, reminds us of Kristin’s Grey Cup party enthusiasm!! Be sure to watch for the commercial!
Cheers!!
Just wonderin’ Kristin if you are ever going to wake up from this wonderful nap you are pictured taking and start posting again?!? We miss you, although we do know you are busy. How is your new “job” going? Jen and I are both unable to do very much … and we’re bored! Having someone to poke fun at would ease the boredom!!!!
