Yes, Mary, we are wonderful people here in Ontario. That was proven when Pastor Sheilah convinced Kristin to come to Ontario to be an intern in our parish. If you had looked closely at some of the replies from previous responses on this blog, Kristin often expressed her desire to return to our wonderful Grey Bruce area. I think Doug wouldn't have much trouble saying the same thing if he were retired.

The REAL reason Doug wants a Leaf jacket, John, has nothing to do with being part of the crowd of hockey fans in Regina. The real reason he wants one is to remind himself every time he wears it of the WONDERFUL PEOPLE HE KNOWS IN ONTARIO, don't ya think??!?!?!

I don't know what it is like to have the TV remote ... Gerald has it all the time!

Kristin will stay asleep when I change the channel if I have the remote before she falls asleep. I can remove the remote from her hand when she is asleep but her eyes will pop open when I change the channel.

I would be happy to have a Leaf's jacket, don't have any NHL jackets yet. I used to be an Islander's fan when they had a lot of players from Western Canada but that's not the case anymore. Leaf jackets are common in Regina - I think it's a genetic thing.

Yes, Mary, Doug should have a Maple Leaf jacket. We shouldn't have to suffer by ourselves all the time.

Doug. I loved your comment about Kristin falling asleep in front of the tv. Liz does that quite often also. Try changing the channel and see what happens. Does Kristin also fall asleep with a book in her hand? Do you have to remind her to turn the page? Could be that Kristin learned these traits from Liz when she was our Intern

Wow...fail to check in for a day and look at the dialogue one misses!!!

We just spent the past couple of hours babysitting Jacob and Emma Holmes ... they are soooo cute, Kristin!

John ... I think Doug needs a Toronto Maple Leaf coat, don't you?

Doug ... you really do deserve hero status! No more Poor Doug's from me ... at least not tonight!

It is the same situation! These maturational goals are very important and need to be recognized and affirmed. I'm glad I could be of help.

I'm sorry I missed complimenting you on your emoticon, Kristin. I am very proud of your appropriate usage. :)

(A friend of ours has an 18 month old, and her parents cheer when she goes pee on the potty. Now she cheers when anyone else goes on the potty. I feel like this is a similar situation!)
